Research / Planning
Hi blog!
I'm back, and today I'm going to be discussing the process of choosing the photos, videos, and songs in my commercial. When thinking about making my commercial I wanted to include pictures and videos that showed my the progression of my personality and overall self throughout my 16 years of life. I wanted to include images of myself as a baby, a toddler, a child, a pre-teen, and a teenager. When trying to find videos I wanted to display different qualities of myself in the commercial. Qualities included my humor, what I enjoy, and how I interact with others. I wanted to include my favorite songs that represented myself in the commercial. I wanted the photos, videos, and songs to have the same theme that shows my ambience. When trying to figure out the photos that were the best fit for the commercial, I wanted to pick ones that showed the range of emotions I have felt growing up. I found the photos of myself taken a long time ago after looking through old albums in my house. Photos that were taken more recently I got from my mom's phone and sent them to my phone. When looking for videos of myself I had to export old videos that were taken on a camera in the past. Some of the videos that I really liked were taken from my mom's phone and sent to my phone. Although I knew that I wanted the songs I chose to correlate to my photos and videos, I still wasn't sure which song to choose between multiple songs. I don't have a favorite song because I like too many equally. Each song represented myself in their own unique way, so it was challenging picking 1-2 songs out of the multiple other songs I wanted to include. I ended up picking the two songs that fit together the best so that the commercial transitioned seamlessly. I wanted the overall vibe of my commercial to be calm yet exciting at the same time, which explains the music, images, videos. I wanted the commercial to present itself as a timeline as well. This means I wanted it to transition from a baby image to a toddler, a child, a pre-teen, and a teenager. In doing both I not only displayed my growth physically, but also mentally by showing how my expressions differed as time passed. This was the process of picking out and finding out how to include all of my photos, videos, and songs into my commercial. That's all for now, see you later!
